Explanatory Note

“Context is king” - intoned my French professor at Glasgow University.  His oft-repeated mantra stuck with me, and contexts has been a recurring theme in my time as a teacher so far.  “Teacher! What does “fall out” mean?” It depends on the context… What’s the context?... I need more context…. In language, words are important but context rules.
